One Week Grocery List for Less Than $50

I try my best to spend less than $50 a week on groceries, which is not always easy to do. Unless I’m going to Trader Joe’s, I typically shop based off of what’s on sale that week and meal plan around the weekly savings. For the last couple of months, I’ve been sharing my grocery lists on my Instagram account, almostalwayseating, along with the meals that I plan on making each week with the products I purchase. While I’ll still actively use my Instagram account, I thought making a weekly blog post about my grocery list would be a clearer and more organized method for all those who find my lists helpful.


Below, you’ll find my full grocery list along with my meal plan for the week. Throughout this week, I’ll be sharing three different recipes: ground turkey zucchini boats, balsamic tomato pasta, and chickpea tikka masala. Fresh Produce

  • 1 package of grape tomatoes
  • 1 box of spinach
  • 1 box of raspberries
  • 2 avocados
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 green bell peppers

Pantry Items

  • 1 can of crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can of garbanzo beans
  • 1 package of protein pasta
  • 1 package of brown rice
  • 1 loaf of bread (I bought mountain bread)
  • 1 bottle of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 package of tikka masala simmer sauce
  • 1 bag of chia seeds

Refrigerated/Frozen Items

  • 1 1/2 lbs of chicken breasts (I got this on sale at Kroger)
  • 1 lb of ground turkey
  • 1 package of large eggs
  • 1 container of milk
  • 1 package of frozen peas

Meal Plan

Breakfast everyday will be chia seed pudding made with plant-based oat milk and topped with raspberries.
